The Lomond Rock name was born in 2003 when two local teams merged Dumbarton Rock and Lomond Thistle.
The club started with the name Lomond thistle and played in the Dumbarton and District welfare league, we then took over local side Polariod when we joined the west of scotland league. After one season as polaroid we changed the name in 2003 to Lomondrock afc we kept the Lomond name and added the rock name from Dumbarton Rock who played in the sunday league.
